Madeira......

Lovely day at Club Quilt today....we had two new ladies join our group,Vanessa (Flutterby Angel) and Jo, and I think they both had a great day...
I quilted three quilts (only small ones), will show some photos a bit later on this week....
Still from last weekend, once again with charm packs but this time there was a little bit of a twist to the charm squares.........this was made by joining 16 charm squares (4x4) once joined you cut from the left and the right sides a 3 inch strip...and then you do the same from the top and the bottom....you do this to all your 16 patch blocks, I made 4...then you take your 3 inch strips cut from each of the blocks, mix then up and rejoin them onto one of the other blocks....I just added a bit of tramming between the 4 blocks, put a little peeper on and then a large border....The fabric used was... yes... you guessed it ....Moda...Madeira...

Shangri-la...

I also did this top at Ridgecrest.....3 Sisters for Moda....Shangri-la....charms packs and part of a jelly roll.....I joined four charm squares then added to each side a strip from the jelly roll, added a contrast corner block in each combination...I made nine large blocks, added a small red border and finished off with larger floral border, nice and simple.....
I have had a few people ask me me a few questions, but unfortunately they are set up as 'no reply' so I am unable to reply and answer their questions....If Sharyn, Marcia and Carolyn J are out and about, please send me an email, go thru profile and I will hopefully be able to answer you questions.
Club Quilt tomorrow I am hoping to quilt a few tops, we have two new ladies joining our group tomorrow Jo and Vanessa they both come from Dubbo, so it will be another great day at Club Quilt......happy stitching....take care.... Peg... :>)

Kashmir II

This is another of my tops that I was able to complete on our weekend retreat at Ridgecrest...Kashmir II by Sentimental Studios for Moda...I just love this fabric, it has that muted look to it but the design on the fabric is most appealing...it is just a simple one made from charm packs with small peeper and border......today was such a nice day, quite mild really but it would be so nice to have a bit of rain... happy quilting and thanks so much for all the lovely comments about my award.....Peg ... :>) ...

Great weekend at Ridgecrest...

Just arrived back from another fantastic retreat at Ridgecrest..........13 of us headed over to Burrendong Dam on Friday, some came home yesterday and the majority of us today Monday.....I have so many photos to share, 95 photos I took so I really need to go thru these...but first off ,these are a few scenic shots of the dam and our accommodation which is called "The Lodge" and this little table with all the goodies is the 'treat' table, (disgusting isn't it)

Off to Ridgecrest

Well tomorrow 13 members of Club Quilt are heading off on another retreat...we are going to Ridgecrest which is at Burrendong Dam about a 1.5 hour drive from Narromine....we have been going here for about 5 years I think .....it is run by the Christian Centre...large old house which sleeps about 25 people..we are catered for, so this year we are paying $50 per day which is for our accommodation, three meals plus morning and afternoon tea....so very cheap, they really look after us...so basically all we do is....sew, eat, sew, eat, sew, eat, sew, eat and sleep and then do the same thing again...most of us are going Friday and coming home Monday....so hopefully lots of great happy snaps next week.
This is another charm pack quilt started last weekend I am going to finish it off tomorrow.... Kashmir II ..Sentimental Studios..Moda of course....will probably add a pepper and then a border it is the very large print shown in the last photo...have a great weekend ...take care...happy sewing... Don't you just love Sundays...

Well Sunday is here and nearly gone, what a lovely Mothers Day....I had phone calls and prezzies from my beautiful boys...and you know what the best present was, when they finished their phone calls and said "love you mum"......it always makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside...
Anyway is was Club Quilt Day and what a lovely day it was...we had a nice roll up, not everyone stayed but we did have a quick visit from most, as it was a swap day for our Round Robin - Log Cabin Swap.......
Today I did another of my charm pack quilts ,this time. (ha ha ha) I have used Moda....Autumn Journey....ladded a ittle pepper and border, I know these are very quick, easy quilt tops, but I think they are very effective..... happy stitching.... Peg ... :>) ...
